Optical Diagnostics
We work in developing and applying optical techniques for measurement of velocity, temperature and species in reacting flows.
Recent developments have been in the applications of thermographic phosphors, and the use of laser induced incandescence for the measurement of velocity in two-phase flows.
We are currently working on improving on methods for application and understanding signals from laser-induced grating spectroscopy (LIGS), and developing a lower complexity CARS for line hydrogen methods.
