Spray Measurements for H2-O2-Liquid H2O(HOWL) combustion systems
This project involves measurements of liquid water sprays for purposes of cooling hydrogen-oxygen combustion systems. We would like to characterise spray characteristics (particle size distribution and velocity) for potential candidate systems as a function of operating conditions, using particle doppler size anemomentry (PDPA).
The work will be done jointly with a graduate student.
Requirements: interest and good understanding of fluid mechanics and experimental methods.
